Jowat to Present its PUR HMAs for Edgebanding at HOLZ HANDWERK 2018

    Under the headline “Service unites”, Jowat will be presenting tailor-made adhesive solutions for all operations in wood-processing companies at this year’s HOLZ-HANDWERK – from classic applications to highest requirements. The products showcased by the adhesive specialist include PUR hot melt adhesives for superior edgebanding and flat lamination as well as new wood glue for trade and industrial furniture manufacturers.

  At last year’s trade fairs LIGNA and interzum, Jowat already demonstrated successfully that “Service unites”. Trade fairs in 2018 are continued under the same headline. 

    At HOLZ-HANDWERK 2018, Jowat will present a comprehensive range of bonding services, assisting processors throughout the entire bonding process with a deep understanding of the different applications and challenges, with support during the decision process, a permanent quality assurance, as well as with a transfer of know-how.

    PUR Hot Melt Adhesives for Superior Edgebanding

   Apart from individual highlight products, for instance a new unfilled adhesive from the Jowatherm-Reaktant® series, Jowat is also presenting a complete PUR portfolio for superior edgebanding. This innovative product range will provide processors with the right adhesive solution in superior PUR technology. Jowat PUR hot melt adhesives are available in many supply forms for established application methods.

    Technology of the future: PUR for flat lamination

    After having been used successfully for a long time in industrial applications already, PUR technology is now also becoming established in the trade and facilitates flat lamination of the highest standard. A modern PUR adhesive portfolio facilitates highest moisture and heat resistances. Interested visitors and (first-time) processors are invited by Jowat to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of a transition to PUR hot melt technology including the adaption of application technology, as well as the optimum adhesive products for specific applications and their handling.

    The classic application: New PVAc glue for wood gluing

    In addition to the PUR technology, Jowat is also presenting a new universal polyvinyl acetate (PVAc) glue for wood bonding applications at HOLZ-HANDWERK.

   The new solvent-free adhesive Jowacoll® 104.20 is a classic universal glue which is ideal for DIY applications as well as for assembly operations in industrial furniture manufacturing.

   This dispersion adhesive meets the requirements of DIN EN 204/205 for durability class D2 and can therefore be used for interior bonding applications with occasional short-term exposure to running or condensed water and/or to occasional high humidity provided the moisture content of the wood does not exceed 18%. 

    The new Jowacoll® 104.20 is supplied in various packaging units, including practical small containers (500 ml). Glue samples are available at the Jowat booth.

    Problem solver for different requirements:

  As a supplier of all adhesive types, Jowat also provides 1-component und 2-component PU prepolymers as well as S and SE polymers for nearly all assembly operations, and EPI dispersions for wood species which are difficult to bond.
