The 4th Asian Regional Adhesive Council (ARAC) was held on October 27-30, in Korea. The title of this 4th Conference was: "Green Technology Innovation in Adhesives".

The ARAC conference takes place every 3 years in one of the Member States, and this year the Conference was organized by the Korea Adhesive Industry Association (KAIA).

ARAC is a federation of four Southeast Asian adhesive associations: China National Adhesives Industry Association (CNAIA) Japan Adhesive Industry Association (JAIA) Korea Surfactant & Adhesive Industry Cooperative (KSAIC) and Taiwan Synthetic Resins & Adhesive Industrial Association (TSRAIA).

FEICA was represented by Bernard Ghyoot, the Secretary General of FEICA who was invited as speaker during the Plenary session. He presented FEICA and The European Adhesives and Sealants Market. During the 3 day conference, he had the chance to meet representatives from the USA, China, Japan Korea and Taiwan as well as the main Asian adhesive producers. He has invited them to participate in the next World Adhesive Conference which will be held in 2012, in Paris.

Bernard brought with him more than 30 interesting Conference Proceedings explaining the main innovations and developments of the Adhesive Industries in China, Japan, Taiwan, Korean and Germany. Among the main issues covered by these proceedings one can find: the Preparation and Performance of a Polyimide Adhesive Film; High-performance Hot-Melt adhesive for Environment; Development and application of Bio-Polyurethane foam; One- Component Application of Waterborne Pu And Cr Adhesives.
