At ECS,Celanese Emulsion Polymers to Show Mastery Of the Elements Using VAE Emulsion Technology


NUREMBERG, GERMANY (March 15, 2011) ? Paints and adhesives manufacturers can learn how to better formulate products by mastering the earth’s elements with support from Celanese Emulsion Polymers at the 2011 European Coatings Show (ECS). With new data demonstrating the high performance of vinyl acetate/ethylene (VAE) emulsions in exterior architectural paints, Celanese will showcase technology that offers excellent protection, including fire retardant properties, and provides the basis for novel coating solutions.

ECS attendees will learn first hand the advantages of Celanese’s VAE emulsions marketed under the Mowilith brand throughout Europe. “VAE emulsions have gained strong acceptance for use in low odor, low emission interior paints for over a decade demonstrating the power of water and how waterborne paints help to protect the air and the earth,” said David Faust, market segment manager. “Today, we are moving the VAE emulsions outdoors. At ECS, we will showcase our patented VAE inclusion technology for use in facade coatings, plasters and also in exterior insulation finishing systems (EIFs)” said Faust.
