Lucite International, Inc will re-start the production of Methyl Methacrylate (MMA) at its Beaumont, Texas facility. The production will start in the first quarter of 2011. Though Lucite will produce MMA at a reduced rate in the year 2011 but will start full scale production after the completion of new plant.

Neil Sayers, President Lucite Americas says that the company has seen a strong increase in global demand for MMA, which has led them to re-start production and invest to improve the efficiency of this key facility. He adds that even though their initial production will be somewhat limited it nevertheless marks a positive step for the employees, the local community and Lucites ability to better support the customers in the future.
