Sika AG announced that its US subsidiary, Sika Corporation, has acquired May National Associates, Inc., a leading manufacturer of silicone and polyurethane products for sealing and bonding in Construction, Industrial, and Distribution markets. May National is located in Lakewood, New Jer-sey with annual sales revenue of approximately $20 million USD and 60 employees.

The acquisition will further expand Sika Corporations leading position in sealing and bonding by enabling the company to build up its silicone sealants offering - especially in the growing solar and façade markets in North America.

After the successful acquisition and rollout of its engineered silicones business in Europe (since 2004) Sika can now build a strong silicone footprint in North America and expand its global silicone technology and know-how to this important region.
