Mapelastic AquaDefense is a one-component, ultra quick drying, ready-to-use liquid that is ideal for waterproofing surfaces under ceramic, porcelain, natural stone tiles and mosaics.

Mapelastic AquaDefense is versatile and can bond to a wide range of surfaces such as concrete, screeds, timber or existing tiles. It is conveniently ready-to-use straight from the tub and can be applied by roller or brush. It has been designed for easy installation over flat or curved surfaces and is ideal within confined spaces. The tub is also re-sealable ensuring none of the product is wasted.

Once applied it creates a watertight and seamless elastic membrane. This membrane provides a thin, continuous barrier to protect adjacent rooms and floors from water damage. For common problem areas like wall/floor junctions, corners and drains, it can be combined with Mapeis reinforcing Mapeband accessories to provide additional protection. Mapelastic AquaDefenses quick drying properties ensure it is ready to receive tiles after just 4 hours.

Mapelastic AquaDefense can be utilised on a wide variety of applications. This includes internally and externally on floors, walls and ceilings in residential and commercial buildings and also internally to floors and walls in industrial environments. Mapelastic AquaDefense can be employed for bathroom and shower areas, kitchen, cafeteria areas and laundry rooms as well as outdoor areas such as balconies (when used in combination with a primary waterproof membrane where inhabited areas exist beneath)
