LORD Brazil, a subsidiary of LORD Corporation, one of the global leaders in adhesives and coatings for specific segments, vibration and motion control, and magnetically responsive technologies has been recognized with the 2011 Top of Mind Award in the Brazilian composites industry from the Brazilian Composite Materials Association (ABMACO).

Organized by the ABMACO, the award included 20 categories, from raw materials, equipment and manufacturing processes. The most remembered distributor and the highlight of the composites industry in 2011 were also awarded. Destaque Business Research was responsible for the survey and counting of votes.

"This award is recognition of the effort that LORD has been making over several years. We offer a value proposition to the composites market based on services and products, consistent with the high expectations of this market," says Sandro Leonhardt, Regional Manager for South America.

The event also served as the background for the celebration of the 30th Anniversary of ABMACO. "We have been working side by side with the association, which plays a key role by bringing together the entire value chain in the production cycle of composites, in addition to being a mechanism for the development and improvement of all links of the production chain," said Leonhardt.

The composites market accounted for 20 percent of LORD Corporations revenue in Brazil this year, and there is a growing trend due to the entry of new projects and the consolidation of the company in the automotive, nautical and construction sectors.
