Ventec Launched Halogen-free Epoxy Resin Based VT-464 Laminates at IPC APEX EXPO

Ventec Electronics (Suzhou) Co. Ltd. launched VT-464 halogen-free low-loss laminates and prepregs at the recently held 2012 IPC APEX EXPO, designed to meet the demands of high-speed applications and deliver the environmental benefits of eliminating brominated flame retardants.

The VT-464 range is based on a halogen-free epoxy resin, with low loss characteristics and full flame retardancy to UL94 V-0. Its high glass transition temperature and excellent thermal reliability ensure compatibility with lead-free assembly processes. VT-464 materials are ideal for applications requiring high signal transmission speed and low transmission loss, in constructions ranging from single-sided to high layer count multilayer. At 1GHz, dielectric constant is typically 3.68 and dissipation factor typically 0.007.

VT-464 laminates are available in thicknesses from .002 to .200, with copper foil from 1/4 oz to 12 oz, and Ventec can offer either reverse-treated or double-side-treated foil. VT-464PP pre-pregs are available in a full range of E-Glass styles; 7628, 7629, 1506, 1500, 2113, 2313, 3313, 2116, 1080, 1086, 1078, 106 & 1067.
