UPM Introduces RC 15 for Solvent-free Performance in Durables Labelling

UPM Raflatac has introduced a new adhesive for Durables labelling. Compared to solvent adhesives, RC 15s UV acrylic formulation offers the same or better adhesive performance on polar surfaces with high surface energy - like smooth metals, glass, ABS plastic, polycarbonate and polyester.

RC 15 has excellent heat and chemical resistance to ensure that the printed information stays firmly in place for the lifecycle of the labelled product. High internal strength gives a low bleed-tendency compared to high coat-weight solvent adhesives. This reduces maintenance stops and allows high-speed conversion.

RC 15 is available in UL-approved combinations and with a versatile range of durable face materials through the Small Roll Service that provides easy access to single rolls in a choice of widths and minimum order quantities starting at less than 100 m².
