Lacta Starts Center for Handling and Storing Self-adhesive Products in Europe

With the aim of positioning itself as one of the leading providers of self-adhesive materials in Europe, a market expected to see continuing growth, Lecta has started up a new slitting and logistics center for handling and storing self-adhesive jumbo stock.

The new facility means vastly improved service to Northern, Central and Eastern European markets by offering a wide range of facestock, adhesives and release liners in rolls with rapid delivery.

This significant investment represents an important step forward for the group as a major player in the self-adhesive market as well as contributing to the regions social and economic development by creating direct and indirect employment through increased business activity.

The Lecta Group, comprising Torraspapel in Spain, Cartiere del Garda in Italy and Condat in France, with a production capacity of over 1.4 million tons of coated woodfree paper, making it the second largest manufacturer in Europe, has an additional production capacity in specialty and base papers of more than 300,000 tons.

All Adestor self-adhesive products are manufactured at the Almazan mill according to ISO 9001 quality standards and ISO 14001 and EMAS environmental management standards. The Cartiere de Garda converting site is in the process of being included in the Lecta Groups multisite PEFC and FSC chain of custody certificates.
