DAP Products Unveils DAP SmartBond Gun-grade System , a PUR Adhesive Gel for Construction

BALTIMORE -- DAP Products Inc., a market leader in home improvement and construction products, is extending its revolutionary line of DAP SmartBond construction adhesives for the professional user. Available now in both Subfloor and Landscape, the new DAP SmartBond gun-grade system improves on the traditional cartridge adhesive experience. It offers more precise bead control, faster application, less mess, and a maximized adhesive yield.

DAP SmartBond is a dynamic polyurethane adhesive gel that’s faster, easier, and lighter to use than traditional cartridge adhesives, with vastly better coverage per can. Usage tests by the NAHB Home Innovation Research Lab show that one can of DAPSmartBond offers 8 times the coverage of one standard adhesive cartridge, yet a single can of SmartBond retails for about half the cost of those 8 cartridges. Based on the amount of subfloor laid in the average 2,311 square-foot home, using the DAP SmartBond Subfloor gun-grade system can help professional contractors save nearly $350 in material and labor costs per subfloor installation, on average.

DAPSmartBond adhesives can be used on most common building materials, including dimensional and treated lumber, plywood, OSB and enhanced OSB, composite materials, drywall, concrete, brick, natural and synthetic stone, painted surfaces, and even foamboard.

The DAPSmartBond Cleaner keeps the Pro-Grade Applicator Gun free of excess adhesive and overspill. When properly stored as directed, DAPSmartBond can be re-used for up to 30 days.
