H.B. Fuller Introduces Swiftlock LT5000, a PUR Reactive Hotmelt Adhesive for Book Binding
Zurich, Switzerland -- H.B. Fuller (NYSE: FUL) confirms the launch of an impressive book binding adhesive named Swiftlock LT5000. It delivers high-performance bonding, and minimizes MDI emissions by working at lower application temperatures.
This polyurethane reactive hot melt adhesive from H.B. Fuller meets stringent workplace emission standards set by DGU Information 213-715 (previously BGI 790-015) and continues to be welcomed by manufacturers looking for high-speed initial binding strength, even on dry paper stock, and in warm ambient conditions.
MDI emissions, measured in the application area when the temperature is maintained at 100°C, are as low as 0.001mg/m3. This is well below the required level of 0.05mg/m3 and has been certified by the German Berufsgenossenschaft Druck und Papierverarbeitung.
H.B. Fuller continues to match its process and product innovations to its customers’ critical needs, which in this case includes a rapid-setting, flexible adhesive film that ensures integrity on the conveyor belt, plus fast trimming and packing of straight-edged brochures and books.
