Lohmann’s “Bonding Engineers” have developed a new mirror bonding tape (DuploCOLL® 91800) for the furniture industry and decorative foil producers. The double sided adhesive with a tailor-made acrylate coated PE foam tape is especially suitable for the mounting and permanent bonding on high gloss, anti-fingerprint, 3D and rough surfaces. With DuploCOLL® 91800 Lohmann’s “Bonding Engineers” have once again proven their good instinct for future trends. Especially in the furniture industry decorative surfaces have become more and more important. These surfaces are challenging though for standard adhesive tapes. Lohmann’s solution is its own development of an asymmetric construction with a tailor-made adhesive on the open side, fitting the decorative film market trend.

　　DuploCOLL® 91800 offers a maximum resistance to ageing, UV-radiation, weathering and plasticizers. The foam carrier does not turn yellow and keeps a permanent elasticity. The maximum adhesion is reached after approximately 24 hours. Main application fields of DuploCOLL® 91800 are the mounting of mirrors in the manufacturing of bedroom, living room, bathroom and hall furniture, PVC bars, small devices and hooks on tiles and smooth walls as well as cable channels.
