TE Connectivity (TE) has launched an acrylic, white polyester, chemical resistant (WPCR) adhesive backed label as an ideal labeling solution for applications exposed to chemicals and solvents.
Heat and Solvent Resistant Adhesive
The permanent acrylic adhesive, high tack and high shear characteristics of the WPCR label is used in a variety of industrial, electronic components and rail applications. The adhesive is ideal for low surface energy substrates, such as bar coding, component identification, in electronic devices and in equipment as well as general purpose labeling where there may be exposed to chemicals and solvents.
WPCR can withstand temperatures of -40°C to 135°C (-40°F to 275°F). WPCR is RoHS, REACH and EU ELV Directive 2000/53/EC compliant.
Chemical Resistant Topcoat for Crisp Printing
TE’s WPCR has a chemical resistant topcoat that ‘locks in’ the thermal transfer print to ensure crisp and clear identification even in the most demanding environments.
“The chemical resistant matte topcoat ensures exceptional mark permanence, excellent heat resistance and dimensional stability,” said Robin Gershkoff, product specialist, TE Connectivity.
