The present invention relates to a hemiacetal ester-based coupling agent represented by chemical formula 1 for preparing a block copolymer of a styrene-butadiene-based monomer, to a method for preparing a block copolymer of a styrene-butadiene-based monomer using the same, to a block copolymer of a styrene-butadiene-based monomer prepared by the method, and to a hot melt adhesive composition including the same. In the chemical formula, A or B is halogen, R_1 and R_2 are substituted or unsubstituted aliphatic hydrocarbon or aromatic hydrocarbon having a carbon number of 1 to 20.
