Lohmann at Polyclose 2018: to Present Innovative Adhesives for Building & Construction

   On the occasion of the Polyclose, which will be held in Ghent, Belgium, from January 17 to 19, 2018, Lohmann’s market segment Building and Renewables presents its wide range of products and several new innovations.

   In Hall 1, booth 1732, the "Bonding Engineers" present innovative adhesive solutions designed specifically for the construction industry.

    Meet Challenges Optimally

  Innovative building materials, modern design trends and easy handling - the construction industry is faced with many challenges these days. In order to meet these optimally, the market segment Building and Renewables has many products in their portfolio, which will be presented at the Polyclose. 

   Dry Static Bonding

   One of these is Lohmann’s Dry Static Bonding (DSB) solutions. 
  DSB is based on the bonding of insulating glass, where the pane of glass is bonded directly into the window casement with a high-performance tape. DuploCOLL® 56000 here replaces the gasket, and reinforcing profiles are no longer necessary whereby improved optical constructions are possible. The permanent, weather-resistant bonding solution ensures a durable and energy-efficient window construction.

  The so-called Dry Static Bonding Wood (DSB Wood) is new in the market segment Building & Renewables. It offers the possibility of combining the sealing and static optimization of the wooden windows in one operation. During the development of the new adhesive solution, the Lohmann "Bonding Engineers" benefited from their many years of experience with manufacturers from the PVC world. The use of the two new adhesive tapes DuploCOLL® 56053 and 56055 (2 and 3.2 mm thick), makes it possible to seal, increase the profile stiffness and to relieve fittings and corner connections in one working step. The application is carried out on the varnished wood and can be tested according to the new guideline of the German ift Rosenheim, VE 08 / T5.

   The creative ability of Lohmann adhesive engineers manifests itself in many ways. It is evident wherever you look, from the global specification work and individual product development through to innovative adhesive constructions. On-site mechanical integration of the adhesive solution supports and optimizes the customer's production process. Customers of the "Bonding Engineers" can also call on expert technical advice for all adhesive matters. That is what Lohmann calls its “Smart Bonding Approach”.
